A caravan holiday might not be something that you’ve considered for your next family holiday, but there really are a lot of benefits to it over what many people might consider a normal holiday staying in a hotel or holiday cottage.

The first advantage is the cost. A caravan holiday will normally be much cheaper than having to rent out a hotel room or holiday cottage for a week or two. You could argue that a holiday can be even cheaper if you chose to camp, but camping means that you are stuck in a small tent with nothing but a couple of thin sheets between you and the outside world. Not to mention that sleeping on the ground is uncomfortable, and inflatable beds can be even worse. So, a cheap family holiday can be had without sacrificing comfort if you choose to use a caravan.

Other benefits include the use of plenty of facilities in your living area, more than you’d be likely to find in any hotel room. You can take care of your own cooking, meaning you can make the meals you want to eat, as well as sleep with your own bedding.

Finally, you have much more privacy than staying in a hotel room. In a hotel, there’ll probably be another room directly above you, another directly below you and then yet another on each side, and it’s not as if most hotels have thick and soundproof walls! A caravan can be put away from other people so that you can rest happy and safe in the knowledge that you’re isolated and your privacy is secure.
