Throughout my degree I was really just waiting for that opportunity to get myself a round the world flight and get out of England for a while. So many of my friends were planning it. We had all had enough of this country to be honest, and we all thought that it made so much sense to at least spend a bit of time in a country where the price of living was low and the standard of living was high. That was certainly the case in Bali.

One of my friends had been travelling between his A levels and he had spent most of his time in Bali. He stayed in a place called Kuta and at that time he could stay in a nice hotel for about £5 per night. With the money I had saved I would be able to stay somewhere like that for six months without even considering my finances.

In the end I decided that the best thing to do was not to buy a round the world ticket, but to actually buy some Bali Flights and then move on from there when I wanted to. I knew that I would like it there, and if it was so cheap, I might want to stay there for longer than my ticket allowed. This way my trip could be totally flexible, and I could go where I wanted when I wanted. I went online and bought the first cheap tickets to Bali I could find which were leaving after my exams.
