Liberty bell
Liberty bell in Philadelphia is considered by many to be one of the symbols of freedom in the United States. It was built in the year 1751. This bell is located inside the liberty hall. At present it serves as a tourist spot and is free of charge to visit. Due to the historical significance, it attracts many people all over from the world.
Benjamin Franklin Bridge
The Benjamin Franklin Bridge was built on 1926 and was named after Benjamin Franklin who arrived to the United States from Briton. It was built by an architect by the name Paul Philippe who is also responsible for the construction of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia. This bridge was one of the largest suspension bridges in the world.
China town
Chinatown in Philadelphia has a lot to attract the people and tourist. Although the Chinatown of Philadelphia is not as much popular as that of New York, it still has many attractions. All the people who reside in Chinatown are said to be relatives.
It is said that if you pick up 40 random people from anywhere around the place and 10 to 15 of them would be closely related. The Chinatown of Philadelphia is more famous for restaurants than any others. Chinatown is completely different from the city side of Philadelphia.
Independence National Historical Park
The Independence Park is located in Philadelphia across the liberty bell and independence hall. The independence hall was built between the year 1732 and 1756. This Historical Park has a visitor’s center where you are exposed to various history and cultural habits of Philadelphia. You can also go for a shopping in the mall.
Betsy Ross House
Betsy Ross is the legendary woman who gave shape and color to the national flag of America. At that, the women were not given equal rights as of men. She is known to be one of the courageous women at that time.
She had a very hard family and personal life. She was married and widowed three times and out the seven children she had given birth to, two of them died as infants. But, she continues to be a role model and an inspiration to many. Her house now serves as a tourist spot. You should go visit that house to draw some inspiration.
Academy of Music
The Academy of Music was opened to public from 1857. This academy serves as one of the Philadelphia’s finest historical landmark. This is one of the grand operas that are still used for the original purposes. This hall is always engaged with some musical fests or concerts. This hall is owned by the Philadelphia Orchestra Association.
